I found these cute wooden veneer business cards at Lee Valley Tools.

I thought they would make great Christmas tags. I used a hole punch to make a hole, and embellished them with rubber stamps, markers and glitter.

They look great with some simple brown paper wrapping paper.

Hope you find some something sweet under your tree tomorrow.

Happy Christmas Eve to you, and may you get your wrapping done before midnight!

Aren’t these glitter skates sweet, and you could leave them out as a decoration all winter, but they are really cute for Christmas too. I found some little white leather ice skates at a second hand store. The smaller they are, the cuter they are. Then I painted them with good old white glue, and glittered them with Martha’s glitter.

I gave them a quick spray of varnish to protect the glitter, but I think it made them less glittery so I added another coat of glue, and re-glittered them, so I’d say if you’re going to do some, skip the varnish step.

I love how magical they look. I was tempted to do the glitter in silver or even pink, but decided that by doing them in white, I’d be able to change the ribbons I used as laces and have them match any future colour scheme. I went with silver ribbons this year, to match my amazing pot scrubber wreath, but I think they’d look great with red, or turquoise ribbon laces another year.

I hung them outside my door on a little chair to welcome Christmas visitors.

Merry Christmas!
We had some great friends who live a ways away over for a fun, Christmasy day on Saturday. In the Evening after feeding the kids an early dinner, I thought they could play movie theater and watch a Christmas movie together, while us adults had a relaxing dinner together.

I found this fun fringed curtain at the party store and cut out “Movie Theatre” on my cricut machine. We turned our play McDonald’s into a ticket booth.

We made the signs and the popcorn and movie tickets from some fun pintables found at Sweet Daisy Designs.

Our buddy Dan lent us his fancy movie theatre style popcorn maker, and I found these cute popcorn containers at the party store.

Unfortunately the kids were so excited about the tickets and the booths that they all ended up fighting over who would be what, and 4 of the 5 were in tears! I guess they liked it all a little too much! Eventually they settled down and took turns, and we enjoyed a nice dinner while they watched the Christmas movie. I’m sure the movie theatre will get lots of use over the Christmas break too, and we’ll all get to “enjoy the show”!

A couple of days ago, our activity for our Christmas Activity Advent Calendar was to paint our nails in Christmas colours! Huge hit. I found these cute Christmas nail stickers at Dollarama, and also bought some bright red and green nail polish. It’s Christmas, time to get fancy right!

Ready for a party! Merry Christmas.

We’re having a great time with our Christmas Activity Advent Calendar, this weekend one of our activities was to have a Christmas Tea Party.

I broke out some Christmas dishes, we made hot chocolate as our tea, with Christmas marshmallows, and invited two little girl friends over for some our Christmas tea party lunch.

We kept things easy with some leftovers from the women’s event, and a few treats from the bakery. It turned out to be delicious!

It was a lovely afternoon, and I think it might have to become a new Christmas tradition! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
