There is still lots of snow here. I’m dreaming of spring bulbs, Pastel colours and Easter eggs, just like every other blogger, but when I look out on the back garden all I see is snow! So, in the spirit of making life a party, we’re embracing the snow and using it to make delicious maple syrup taffy. It’s really a simple process, all you need is a candy thermometer. And, I guarantee your kids will love it.
So, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Maple Syrup Taffy
- 1/2 cup Maple Syrup (This amount of syrup boiled down to make about six sticks of taffy, make more if you like.)
- a candy thermometer
- popsicle sticks
- fresh, clean snow
Boil the syrup until it reaches 235 degrees on the thermometer.
Take the taffy outside, and pour onto clean snow.
After a few seconds, roll the taffy onto a popsicle stick and enjoy!
It got a big thumbs up!
Surely this snow won’t last too much longer, so enjoy it while it lasts.
Life is what we make it, so we may as well make it a party!
