Many of us will be helping our kids with Valentines for school this weekend. Here are a few fun ideas, that you still have time to do.
I love this little mouse, who’s tail is a lollipop.
He’s made of a large folded heart, with a tiny heart ear. Too cute.
Here’s another great idea, a butterfly Valentine. My daughter made these for her classmates. I got the idea for some of these projects at Disney’s Family Fun website. Click here for the butterfly template. We made it out of coloured paper, and used fun dollar store Valentine’s day pencils for the body.
She can’t wait to hand them out to all her classmates on Monday.
Here’s another sweet idea. A little Valentine’s Day finger puppet. I used my large hole punch to create a hole big enough for little fingers.
Here is my sweetest idea. You know I love cupcakes.
We used a cardboard egg carton for the base, and then a 1/4 of a sheet of tissue paper for the frosting. Decorate with some heart shaped gems and some glitter and you have the cutest cupcake ever, the perfect size for a dolly tea party. Wouldn’t this be cute at a tea party or cupcake theme birthday party as a craft?
I did some of these crafts yesterday with my daughter’s grade one class, and they were a huge hit, so I can tell you they are kid tested and approved! Give them a try with your little ones this weekend, because life is a Valentine’s Day party, if you make it one!
