Yesterday I shared my older daughter’s Nutcracker Themed bedroom for Christmas, and today I wanted to share some pics from my younger daughter’s room. Our sweet little Maddie, loves all things sweet, so we did it up in her little room for Christmas.
I mentioned yesterday that my girls really play in their rooms, and they’re filled with toys, books, and more toys. For Maddie’s room though, I did clear off her bookcase (and stack her books and baskets in the closet over Christmas… shhh). On her cleared off shelves, I decorated with all her sweet play foods, including the felt Christmas cookies we made a few years ago. We made this fun little “Sweet Christmas” banner and added it to the book case too, beside her cute little pink kitchen.
On top of the bookcase we decorated a pink tinsel tree with cupcake and ice-cream ornaments from last year. Along with the glitter house I made her last year.
I also picked up some plastic candy ornaments at the dollar store, and hung them from the mosquito netting canopy that hangs over her bed, and added some candy cane garland to her headboard.
Every time I see it, I can’t help but think “and visions of sugarplums danced in their heads.”
We picked up some cute little wooden shapes from Walmart that also fit our theme, and Maddie painted them.
I added a few to the top of a picture frame, and the rest of them to this sweet little pink feature wreath.
For her little table, in the middle of her room, we did another little tinsel tree. This one is decorated in cupcake ornaments, a few candy canes, and this peppermint candy garland –see how I made it here.
There’s also a cute little gingerbread house craft from the dollar store. The little gingerbread man ornament is one I received in a log ornament exchange last year from Winnibriggs House. Isn’t it sweet?
