I hosted a little dinner party this weekend, and wanted to do a fall tablescape. I’m in love with white pumpkins, and decided to use them to create a white fall table.
One of my favourite parts of the table was the book page leaves hanging over the table. I cut different leaf shapes out of an old book and attached them to the dining room chandelier with a little thread, and some pretty clear and amber glass beads to add weight and sparkle.
On the table itself, I used a simple white table cloth, white napkins and white plates. I pulled out my amber glasses -which always make me think fall, and some matching tea light holders.
I made more book page leaves and scattered them on the table, along with the sweet mini white pumpkins.
I used the white lanterns from my daughter Paige’s recent camp s’more birthday party, as a centre piece -I just knew I’d get a lot of use out of those lanterns. 😉
My very favourite detail was the little treat at each place setting.
I used my individual cupcake holders, and tied another book page leaf on with twine. Inside, a sweet fall treat, maple fudge. And my fun friends were just delighted to have dessert first, when they sat down at the table. 😉
We had a wonderful evening together in the candlelight and pretty leaf shadows, marking the beginning to a beautiful fall season.
Wishing you a few fun fall evenings spent in candlelight with old friends and sweet treats too.
