Morning Tea Party

morning tea 011

Once a month I get together with some girl friends, for tea and catching up. We started out as a book club, but with life so busy, sometimes it’s better to connect with one another, than the characters in a book. πŸ˜‰ I was hosting this time, so it gave me an excuse to get out my pretty pink depression glass teacups and enjoy them.

Along with our tea, we had some yogurt, blueberries and granola parfaits. I used the granola I shared with you here, and everyone asked for the recipe!

To serve the fruit, yogurt and blueberries, I used these sweet little footed bowls my sister gave me. I used my everyday china underneath, with a pretty rose napkin. Simple and pretty.

Since I used rose napkins, I thought I would float a few of my first rose blooms from the garden in this pretty glass trifle bowl as a simple centrepiece.

We had a lovely time enjoying our healthy snack, cups and cups of tea, and each other. Life is a party, and if you’re lucky a tea party. πŸ˜‰

I’m linking up at Between Naps on the Porch, and Tatertots and Jello.

  3. I love the idea of a morning tea with girlfriends. Your depression glass is so pretty. I like how you have used the paper napkin to accent the setting, too. Beautiful!
