This weekend my cousin Jamie and her husband Robert held a Summer-End Soiree at their home to celebrate their recent wedding. In the spring they eloped to the beautiful island of Bora Bora to be married.
On the weekend they held a wonderful celebration for family and friends in their beautiful, newly renovated home. It was an end of summer soiree to remember! The beautiful invitation set the tone for the evening with floral and vintage inspired details.
We started the evening in the backyard courtyard of their home. One of the signature cocktails for the evening was a lavender champagne -love the pretty frame.
The other signature drink of the evening was the peach lemonade martini -my favourite. 😉
We enjoyed a drink with the bride out in the courtyard.
She looked gorgeous in her vintage inspired dress -that she wore to the courthouse for the civil ceremony in Bora Bora. The dress tied in with lots of other vintage inspired details, like the ornate frames holding the drink selections, and the antique bottles turned bud vases placed all over the house and collected by the bride at antique stores over the summer.
Vintage inspired details continued inside with a beautiful picture frame turned chalkboard, with a menu of the amazing hors d’oeuvres.
All the food was so beautiful, and tasted great.
Along with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres there was lots of wine and cheese to choose from. I loved the printed wine menu with the couple’s monogram.
Their dining room table was set up as the most amazing cheese buffet.
There was a great selection of cheeses, breads, crackers, and condiments like onion jam, olives, capers, and honey, just to name a few.
I loved the slate chalkboards, which were used throughout the party, including the dessert table.
The white tissue pom poms above the dessert table were a pretty detail.
The desserts were beautiful, and all decorated with gold, silver, and floral designs.
My favourite were the mini cupcakes.
It was all so beautiful by candlelight.
This was the view from the upstairs balcony, looking down on the candle lit courtyard area. What a beautiful evening.
At the end of the night we left with a “sweet” reminder of a wonderful evening.
I love the monogrammed muslin bags, with a cookie almost to pretty to eat -almost. 😉
Congratulations Jamie and Robert!
May your life together be a party!
