Beach Inspired Table

I liked the mantel so much from yesterday’s post, that I thought I’d do a special tablescape inspired by the beach too.

I started out with the same lanterns, picked up last year on clearance at the Super Centre -got to love a good sale! Along with the lanterns I wanted to use some garden flowers as a centre piece. They’re just in simple glass vases, with the addition of some beach rocks in the bottom. I love how it looks.

I wanted to keep the table simple and laid back, so instead of a tablecloth, I picked up these woven placemats at IKEA. I love the texture they add.

I used white napkins, and stemless wineglasses -keeping it fairly casual.

My favourite addition to the table were the diy place cards. On each place setting, I used another river rock and a simple piece of driftwood, and added each persons name with a Sharpie.

I love how it all turned out together, simple, casual, and so summery, perfect for a night of great conversation and dinner.

With a pretty beach inspired table like this, life really is a party!
