Purple Table Decorations
Purple Table Decorations: inspired by fresh lilacs, this purple tablescape is simple and perfect for anyone who loves purple.
The lilacs are blooming and their pretty soft purple and gorgeous smell inspired a some pretty purple table decorations . My husband was out of town, and his home coming seemed like the perfect occasion for a nice family dinner in the dining room.
Purple Tabe Decorations Ideas
I started out with lots of lilacs collected from the ditch on a country drive. I used three frosted glass square vases, since I wanted the table to feel a bit modern.
I also used a couple of my simple white lanterns, I have a feeling they might inspire a lot of tables this summer. I picked up some purple candles at the dollars to fit our colour scheme, and centred it all down the centre of the table on a simple white linen runner.
Purple Place Settings
I used my everyday white dishes, and dressed up the white napkins. To personalize everyones spot I added their initial cut our of some old book pages. Then I added a just a hint of lilac glitter to each initial. The little purple butterflies were another dollar store purchase, and I tied it all together with a little narrow satin ribbon, and baker’s twine.
I used my pretty purple wine glasses, and also these purple cups, with the perfect little paper straw tucked in.
It smells so good in my dinning room right now. I like this little table a lot, since it was really simple and inexpensive to put together. Spring marks the beginning of lots of great free flowers, sometimes something from the side of the road just needs to be picked and brought home! (Top tip: keep a little pair of garden clippers in your glove box 😉 ) Wishing you a happy spring, and the ability to see the beauty and potential in the things all around you.

Beautiful job! I see lilacs are on a lot of our minds right now! I like how you presented them and your lanterns on the runner. Your paperbook initials are cute with their purple glitter! Looks like a very nice table to come home to!
What a lovely table, Love the details you put into it…the butterflies on the napkins….the straws. and of course the color purple…My Favorite! I have a hard time doing tablescapes and not having purple in them…lol
