One of a Kind Show 2013 -Vintage Inspired Treasures!

Sharing a little bonus post with you this Saturday morning, in case you’re thinking of starting your Christmas shopping this weekend.

I love the One of the Kind Show, especially the Christmas show. Every year I go and do at least a little Christmas shopping -sometimes even for myself. πŸ˜‰ This year I headed down with my sister and we found a few favourite things to share with you, inspired by a vintage feel. If you can make it down to the show it’s on now until Dec. 8, if not, all the sellers I chose have shops on-line. Let the Christmas shopping begin!

One -This year I’m doing a vintage theme for my Christmas decor. I found these oh so sweet postcards at Cedar Mountain. and fell in love with them. I came home with a set of 4 -4 for $20. I love that the images were vintage inspired, that they were printed on wooden veneer, and had a postcard mark on the back so you could actually mail them.

Two-I can’t seem to manage attending the One of a Kind without buying at least one necklace. This year was no exception and my sister and I really liked Dotti Potts pretty ceramic pieces and came home with three between us. This sweet bicycle one had more of that vintage feel, love the pink too.

Three– There were accessories aplenty at Love Charlie. All the hairpins, fascinators and hats were so pretty. If ever you could pull off a feather in your hair, it’s during the holidays. They certainly had lots to tempt us with. My sister bought a sweet little hairpin to use as a present topper that the recipient could use after. So clever, thought you might want to borrow that idea. πŸ˜‰

Four -I loved these pretty tin light reflectors from Pietersma Tinworks. The artist was in his booth creating lanterns as we shopped. They’d look fantastic on a vintage inspired Christmas tree this year. My sister picked up a pack for herself. They also have great little tin icicles that you’ll be seeing on my tree this year.

Five -I feel in love with these pretty prints from Tricia O. I bought the “Thou Art Awesome” for someone special on my list. I think maybe I should have picked up one for myself too. I loved the vintage inspired and graphics -so pretty.

Six -These little deer caught my eye. They were small, and cute, and had so much character. They were from Hilary Cosgrove, and they would be such a lovely Christmas decoration, that you’d look forward to unpacking year after year.

That’s a few of my favs from this year. With all these pretty vintage inspired picks, life really is a party!
