Pretty Blue Table

Before all our decor turns orange and brown and golden for the fall, I thought I’d squeeze in one more pretty last days of summer tablescape. I found this pretty little tablecloth at a thrift store for song, and thought it would be so sweet for a blue table.

I mixed in these blue bubble glass, depression glass side plates and tea cups -I just love their soft blue colour.

Since I was using a vintage table cloth and the antique depression glass, I thought I would keep the rest fairly minimal and modern. I like mixing old and new, it gives new life to the old, and the new thrown in helps keep it look up to date, and fresh.

I did simple flowers, white phlox, in blue votive holders from the dollar store. I used white flowers, plates and napkins to keep it all fresh and not too sweet looking.

I love how it turned out, so simple, so sweet, so beautiful. I hope you’re enjoying your last days of summer. The kids in the school yard are still getting away with wearing shorts to school, with a jacket in the morning. Not too many more days of fresh flowers from the garden and hot afternoons. Hope you’re making these last days of summer count too.

With a pretty blue table like this to enjoy, life really is a a party!
