It’s January and I, like everyone else, am dreaming of being more organized this year. I thought you might like to see this baking station at my friend Heather’s house -I’m totally jealous of it myself.
Heather moved into this new kitchen in the summer, and one of her first projects was creating a baking station. After living in a smaller place for years, where she’d creatively made space for her baking supplies whereever she could, she was excited to be able to store them all in one place, and be able to get at them quickly and easily.
She bought three sizes of mason jars, and some simple sticker labels.
She put all her baking supplies, and ingredients into the jars and labelled them. The jars were inexpensive -compared to some other storage canisters, and they look great. It’s easy to see what’s inside, and the products are grouped together by type.
I think the sugar sprinkles, paper straws, and lollipop sticks look so pretty, and being able to see everything so easily helps you not buy things you already have. I so wish I had the space for this lovely system at my house.
We grouped all the jars together, and added her mixer and a few other little supplies for the perfect baking station.
I love the really large jars for things like flour, oats and sugar that you need a lot of, and that a large cup measure can fit into easily. I think they’d be great filled with cookie cutters, and cupcake liners too…oh, a girl can dream. With baking supplies this organized and pretty, life really is a party!
