So I was shopping the other day, and came across a container of popping sugar and was inspired. Valentine’s day is fast approaching and I thought they’d make some chocolate truffles really fun.
I made regular chocolate truffles, using this recipe that I’ve shared before here. After the centres were formed, I rolled them into the popping candy.
After they were rolled, I popped them into the freezer for about 10 min. to make them easier to dip into the chocolate candy coating.
After they were dipped in chocolate, I sprinkled them with a little more popping candy. It does react to liquid so, it lost a little of its pop in the chocolate.
I added a little candy heart sprinkle, to make them perfect for Valentine’s Day.
I made a cute little Valentine card to go with them. “Valentine, you make my heart POP!”
With a Valentine treat this good, life really is a party!
