Here’s the perfect Valentine’s treat for you and your sweeties, big and small. And, it’s really simple to make too.
I started out with a regular French vanilla cake mix, and added in a little red food colouring to make it pink. I baked it on a large cookie sheet, to make a thin cake.
I picked up these push pop containers ages ago for a party, and ran out of time to use them. You can find them on-line. Save them and wash them when your finished and you’ll be able to re-use them. I used some middle section from some extras to make a little food too stand the pops up.
Use your push pop container like a cookie cutter, to cut the cake to the perfect size. I layered cake, then some strawberries that I cut up and sprinkled with a little sugar.
They got topped off with some sweetened whipped cream -yum. And, since Valentine’s day is fast approaching, I cut a little heart shaped strawberry to top it all off with.
My Valentines loved them -big and small.
This cold, snowy day just got a little brighter!
With Strawberry Shortcake Push Pops for Valentine’s Day, life really is a party!
