I’ve been making paper flowers, lots of paper flowers, for an event I’ll share more about with you soon (but you might have seen a sneak peek if you follow me on social media). But the flowers were so, so pretty, that I thought I’d play double duty with them, and hopefully inspire you with this gorgeous summer table.
I set it all up in my back yard under the pretty pergola in the garden. It’s such a lovely place to sit; comfortable, and beautiful too (at least until the mosquitoes start coming out).
The stars of the show are the beautiful flowers. They’re actually really easy to make, just with paper and a glue gun -tutorial coming soon. I had to make about 50 for another project, so I picked out some of my very favs for the table. I think they look so pretty nestled together, different sizes, shapes and colours.
Over the table, I made a couple sweet little candle chandeliers. There were really simple to put together and looked so pretty over the table.
Start with a couple of metal rings, you can find them at the craft store, and then use twine to tie on some pretty little mason jars to hold some candles, and hot glue some more paper flowers -this time small ones, around about 1/3 of the ring at the top, taking care to angle them slightly downward so they’ll really show up once the chandeliers are hanging.
The rest of the table is set with some simple white plates, pretty pink glasses, gold cutlery, and dip dyed napkins –see how I made them here.
This would be very pretty for a summer dinner party, or maybe a shower. I love the pinks and whites together.
With a pretty pink table of gorgeous and inexpensive paper flowers, life really is a party!
