felt heart garland 008

I made this sweet Valentine’s Day felted heart garland today. I started out with some felted sweaters. You can see how to felt old wool sweaters here. I cut out a bunch of hearts in different sizes, and arranged them in a random pattern.

To make the garland, get out your sewing machine, and start feeding them, leaving different sized gaps between each heart.

It’s really simple to do, you just stitch through the first heart and keep stitching with nothing in the machine for a second or two to create the gap, then feed in your next heart. Repeat until you’re done. Easy peasy.

Arent’ they pretty? I hung mine up on the mantel when they were done.

They would also look really great as a ribbon on a present I think. More on the mantel soon.

May all the hearts in your life be as soft and sweet as these.

Very cute. I love the pink and white together, and that the hearts are on the small side. It makes a soft, sweet look, instead of an in your face kind of design. Nice.

Instagram post 2198397181568718012_202589158 I think this weekend it might be time to start some Christmas baking. I’ve been looking at recipes as I watch Christmas movies tonight, and I’m contemplating some homemade Irish cream... and lots and lots of cookies.
Instagram post 2197674602931220370_202589158 Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, how lovely are thy branches. 🎄
Instagram post 2196945958558717167_202589158 This green feature wall and Christmas are a match made in heaven. 💚 @cuttingedgestencils @valsparcanada
Instagram post 2196220191612830309_202589158 Who needs a delicious, easy holiday appetizer? 🙋🏻‍♀️. These caramelized onion and goats cheese tarts tick all the boxes. They’re made with frozen puff pastry so not too tricky or time consuming either. The recipe is on the blog today along with over 15 more! #seasonalsimplicity
