First Signs of Spring

It doesn’t really feel like spring is quite here yet, in southern Ontario. There’s still a little snow on the ground, and certainly a chill in the air, but at least today the sun was shinning. It’s definitely time to get rid of the Christmas lights, wreaths and urn arrangements, but still too soon for even pansies. So after packing away the last of the Christmas lights two weeks ago, I added some eggs and twigs to the birch in my urn for a very early spring arrangement.

It’s nice to see a little spring colour out there. And, I had to add my little bunny friend, and my Easter egg wreath to the door too.

And today while I was out there snapping these pics, I noticed something. Spring really is on it’s way!

Welcome.

I love your signs of spring post. I love the birch branches in your pot – neat idea – and love how you are changing it up for the seasons.
I want to see more so I am following you now.

Instagram post 2198397181568718012_202589158 I think this weekend it might be time to start some Christmas baking. I’ve been looking at recipes as I watch Christmas movies tonight, and I’m contemplating some homemade Irish cream... and lots and lots of cookies.
Instagram post 2197674602931220370_202589158 Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, how lovely are thy branches. 🎄
Instagram post 2196945958558717167_202589158 This green feature wall and Christmas are a match made in heaven. 💚 @cuttingedgestencils @valsparcanada
Instagram post 2196220191612830309_202589158 Who needs a delicious, easy holiday appetizer? 🙋🏻‍♀️. These caramelized onion and goats cheese tarts tick all the boxes. They’re made with frozen puff pastry so not too tricky or time consuming either. The recipe is on the blog today along with over 15 more! #seasonalsimplicity
