Wood Grain Faux Bois Wrapping Paper
Give paper and gift bags a wood grain effect, perfect gift giving.

Equipment
- wood grain tool
- paint brush
Ingredients
- brown kraft paper
- paper gift bags
- craft paint
- acrylic glazing medium
Instructions
- Mix the craft paint with the glazing medium, 1 part paint to about 2 parts glazing medium.
- Paint this mixture all over the paper in a thick-ish coat.
- Using the graining tool, slide it through the glaze, and rock it slightly to create the grain effect.
Notes
The glaze in the paint extends its drying time, so you have more time to work with it. If you're not happy with your results, paint over it and try again.
Working in larger areas is more difficult. Add the paint and work in sections to make it easier.
When working with gift bags, do one side, allow to fully dry, and then turn over and do the other side.
