Start by giving your eggs a coat or two of paint in any pretty Easter colour. And let them fully dry before step two.
The next step is apply the gold leaf adhesive to some parts of the surface of the egg, and let it set for 10-15 minutes, according to the package instructions. The key to remember is not to entirely coat the egg with the adhesive, so that some of the paint colour still shows through.
When the adhesive is set, it's time to apply the gold leaf. Use a dry paint brush to help maneuver the sheet of gold leaf onto the egg, wrapping it around the entire egg. Then using a dry brush or a paper towel, go over the top of the gold foil to smooth it onto the egg, and brush off the excess gold leaf pieces.
