Ingredients

olive oil
1 ½
tablespoon
butter

small onion
diced

tablespoon
flour

milk

teaspoon
baking soda

fl oz can tomatoes
3 ½
teaspoon
sugar
salt to taste
Instructions
Cook the diced onions in the oil and butter in a large pot over medium heat, until they are softened and translucent.
Add the flour to the pot and stir and cook for a minute or two.
Add in the milk slowly, and whisk until smooth.
Add in the baking soda, tomatoes and sugar.
Simmer the tomato mixture for 10 minutes, and then blend with an immersion blender. Add salt to taste, and enjoy!
