Hi, I’m Dannyelle — creative celebrator, party stylist, teacher, and memory-maker.

and It's my HONOUR to help you make life a party!

I love helping families make memories through celebrating in big and small ways.

At Life is a Party I'm sharing all my tips and tricks. There are lots of easy recipes, party and entertaining inspiration, home decor, and ideas for celebrating all the holidays and seasons.

As someone who has thrown hundreds of parties over the years, I love helping busy women create joyful celebrations, whether big or small.

From the Classroom to the Party Table

Before I started Life is a Party, I was a classroom teacher, with a B.Ed from York Universy. I still bring that same passion for learning, creativity, and step-by-step guidance into everything I share here.

I know how to break things down so they’re easy to follow. Whether it’s planning a themed dinner party, baking a show-stopping dessert, or styling a tablescape, I’ll guide you with the same clarity, encouragement, and structure I used to teach kids.

A Little About My Background

I also hold a Master of Divinity, from the University of Toronto, and worked as a trained celebrant, designing and leading meaningful life ceremonies. That experience taught me how to create moments that connect people — through symbolism, story, and atmosphere.

Now I blend all of that — teacher, celebrant, creator — to help you make gatherings that are both deeply special and beautifully styled.

Home Is Where The Party Starts

I'm a wife and a mom to two girls, who've grown into young women, and we live just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Much of the inspiration for this blog has come from creating special memories with my own family like birthday parties, Christmas mornings, backyard movie nights, and quiet dinners that feel just a little bit extra.

Those real-life moments have shaped everything I share here on Life is a Party. If you’re looking to create joy and connection for your own family, I’ve been there — and I’m here to help you make it beautiful, meaningful, and totally doable.
