Boho Summer Mantel Decor: this relaxed summer fireplace mantel incorporates elements like brass, plants, and macrame for the perfect vibe.

Our Boho Summer Mantel decor is adding just the right laid back, plant loving vibes we need.  The scene is set for the long, easy days of summer.

This summer mantel was really easy to put together, and I love how it turned out.

Boho Elements

To create the relaxed boho look I was going for I included some elements like brass, macrame, and lots of plants to give that bohemian feel to the space.

I’ve also added a little pink for summer.  And it feels perfect.

My fireplace is in the corner, so it’s really deep and triangular shaped.  It’s a little tricky to work with, so I always start with layering a piece along the back.  I used an old vintage window frame and added on a pretty pink wall hanging.  I layered my letter board in front with a few ideas of how I’d like to spend my summer….with sunshine, s’mores, gardening, sleeping in, ice cream, and beach days please.

Next I layered in lots of house plants.  I love all the green.  One of the common elements of boho design is a very layered, and collected look, so we’ve achieved it here with lots of layers.

The lanterns add a little height, and ground everything with their black colour.

Lastly I layered in some little pieces for interest, including lots of brass.

A candle in a teacup seemed like the perfect eclectic addition for this look, as well as a pretty rock collected on a walk.

All the brass is from the thrift store.  And the sweet little alarm clock is part of the collection I usually keep on my night stand.

The macrame bunting is one I made -read about it here, and seems to stay put from season to season because I love it so much.

I love how relaxed and pretty this is, now let’s hope I remember to water the plants. 😉
