Game of Thrones Party Food and Free Party Printables
Game of Thrones Party Food and Free Printables: Fire and Ice Snack Board, themed food with printable labels and “Winter Is Here” Banner.
Who else is excited for the new and final season of Game of Thrones? A Game of Thrones viewing party with Game of Thrones themed food and free printables is the perfect way to enjoy the new season. I had so much fun putting this Game of Thrones party together -complete with a fire and ice snack board.
Fire and Ice Snack Boards
I was inspired by AintToProudToMeg to create a fire and ice snack board and I love how it turned out. If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen the behind the scenes the last few days, and now saved to my highlights. This season of Game of Thrones promises to be all about fire and ice, so I put together some different fiery and icy snacks to celebrate.
Fire
For the fire board I used a few different spicy snacks, starting with:
- Cheddar Jalapheno Cheetos
- Flamin’ Hot Nacho Doritos
- Spicy Plantain Chips
- BBQ Peanuts
- Buffalo Chicken Wings
- Crackers and Cheese
- Spicy Pepperoni Sticks
- Dragon Fruit
- Red Hot Cinnamon Candies
- Hot Tamale Candies
I wanted to include some crackers and cheese, so I used some marble cheddar and brie cut into triangles to reflect flames, and then used some Babybel Cheese with the outside wax cut out like a flame. I used a few different crackers and then some spicy pepperoni sticks.
For the sweets I included a dragon fruit, some red hot cinnamon candies, and some hot tamale candies.
And what would a fire board be without a dragon in the centre -this one I picked up at the craft store.
Ice
And then for the ice board, things got much cooler. I used
- York Peppermint Patties
- Blueberries
- Blackberries
- Blue Jello
- Clear, Blue, and White mints
- Rock Candy
- Blue Cotton Candy
- Blue Freezies
- Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bars
I thought the little swords were very Game of Thrones-ish.
A couple of tips for the ice side -put your frozen treats on ice to keep them cold for the party. Don’t put your cotton candy out too early, and also don’t put it beside anything wet, like the washed fruit or it will dissolve. For the jello, I made it in a baking dish and used a knife to cut it into cubes and served it in mini plastic shot glasses.
I love how the ice board came out, so many pretty blues and whites, and really cooling after all that fire.
Fire and Ice Food Label Printables
I also created some printable labels for the fire and ice boards. You can access all the free printables at the end of this post. It was fun coming up with themed names like White Walker Ice Cream, Night King’s Eyes, Ice Cubes, Icy Mints, White Walker Breath, and for the Fire -Dragon Scales, Dothraki Jerky, and Fire Candies.
Themed Snacks
The food labels and names were so fun to come with. I included some others too.
We made another platter with “Brie of Tarth” cheese and crackers, “Imp Shrimp”, “Little Finger Chicken Fingers” and “Dragon Wing” Chicken Wings.
- Brie of Tarth cheese and crackers
- Imp Shrimp
- Little Finger Chicken Fingers
- Dragon Wing Chicken Wings
Wildfire
I also served some “Wildfire” which was sports drink. You could also add some vodka to make it into a cocktail.
- Wildfire
Game of Thrones Themed Desserts
Over on the other side of the table we included some Game of Thrones themed desserts.
The “Red Wedding Cakes” are mini red velvet cupcakes, and there were “Sansa’s Lemon Cakes” and “Jon Snowballs” which are jelly donut holes.
- Red Wedding Cakes
- Sansa’s Lemon Cakes
- Jon Snowballs
- Dragon Eggs
- Lannister Gold
- Dragon Glass
And I also included some candies. The “Dragon Eggs” are Easter eggs, the “Lannister Gold” are chocolate coins, and the “Dragon Glass”.
Dragon Glass
The “Dragon Glass” is made of Jolly Rangers.
I used mostly grape and a couple blue and red ones. I melted them on a baking sheet sprayed in cooking oil. Once they were melted I swirled the colours together with a toothpick, and then after it cooled and re-hardened, I broke it into shards.
It turned out really cool looking, was easy to make, and tastes delicious too.
Game of Thrones Decor
To create the feeling of fire and ice, I used lots of candles and furs. The brass ones are some that I did a DIY paint dip effect on, you can see the tutorial here.
Dragon Eggs
The Dragon Eggs are large chocolate Easter eggs from the dollar store. The wood chest is also from there. I added some straw and used the Dragon Eggs as a simple centre piece.
