Summer Movie Night

Summer Movie Night: use our free printable summer movie night ticket, popcorn banner, popcorn labels and cupcake picks to set up the perfect summer night.

Long summer evenings with no school the next day -or these days when you can’t go out or get together with friends a Summer Movie Night is a great idea.

Today I’m sharing our free summer movie night printables that you can print at home to help create a special evening.  And I’m joining in with the Seasonal Simplicity Summer Series with some of my favourite bloggers, so be sure to check out their beautiful printables at the bottom of this post.

We love a movie night anytime of year, but there is something special about long summer evenings.  This works for your living room, but would be really fun in your backyard with a projector for an outdoor summer movie night too.  Or set it up in your tent with your laptop, or a pillow fort in the basement where it’s cooler on a hot day.

Free Printable Ticket

Start the movie night off with our free printable movie night ticket.  Just download it and print it on your home computer and then give it to your kids in the morning to help build a little anticipation.

Popcorn Buffet

What’s a movie without popcorn?  We set up the best popcorn buffet, where everyone can help themselves to their favourite flavour.  

Use our free printable popcorn banner to set the scene.

We went with buttered popcorn, white cheddar popcorn, and caramel corn because that’s what we love.  Add in our free printable popcorn labels, including some blanks in case you have another flavour.

For drinks we served up some lemonade in our favourite re-useable bottles.

And because we love a cupcake around here, we served some mini ones with our adorable round cupcake picks.  

To make them just download, print and cut out with a large circle punch or scissors.  We hot glued them to some stir sticks here, but you can use them to decorate popcorn bowls, or add a small hole with a hole punch and tie them onto drinks.  Get creative.

This whole set up was really easy to put together.  All the treats are store bought, and we shopped the house for pillows and blankets and all the serving pieces for a really fun summer movie night.
