Scandinavian Christmas Decor Home Tour 2018 -Part II: Rustic Scandi design, lots of white and natural elements with some vintage Xmas pieces.I’m so excited you’re here!  Today I’m going to be sharing my living room, kitchen, study and bedroom all decorated with Rustic Scandinavian Christmas decor as part of the Canadian Bloggers Christmas Home Tours hosted by Shannon at Home Made Lovely and Christina at The DIY Mommy.  Be sure to check out the tours from all week at the bottom of the post.
Scandinavian Christmas decor Home TourI shared the front porch, the mudroom, the dining room and our basement family room the other day, you can catch up with my Christmas Home Tour 2018 Part I here.

I love rustic Scandinavian Christmas decor, with lots of white, and natural elements like pine, birch, and pine cones.  I’ve enjoyed adding some fun vintage pieces in to this year.  I hope you enjoy.

Scandinavian Christmas Decor in the Living Room

Let’s start in the living room all dressed up for Christmas.  I made the garland on the stairs with some pine I collected in the woods.  It does dry out fairly quickly, but there’s nothing nicer than fresh pine at Christmas, worth cleaning up a few needles, or even a lot of needles. 😉

Scandinavian inspired Christmas decor

I’ve kept the tree really simple this year, and I really love it.

Scandinavian inspired Christmas decor treeI picked up some amazing yarn that comes already knit into a chain.  It would be great for a chunky knit blanket, but it also makes a gorgeous garland.  I love how simple and warm and fuzzy it is.

Scandinavian Christmas tree

The tree is decorated with some pretty white paper ornaments and a white glass balls in clear  -that’s it and I love how simple it is.

Inspired by the paper ornaments, I added a few paper balls to the bottom of the tree too on some sheep skin rugs.  The tree is in a  vintage galvanized tub.

Scandinavian Christmas decor living roomOn the top of the tree we’ve hung a paper star, and attached it to the ceiling which worked perfectly.

rustic Scandinavian inspired Christmas decorThe yarn garland inspired the warm white cozy theme for the rest of the room.  The couch is already for a Hallmark movie marathon. 😉

Rustic Scandi Christmas decorOn the table are the candle holders I made with the fair isle pattern, inspired by cozy sweaters.  The little lights are like mini snow globes with little white bottle brush trees in them.

Rustic Scandi ChristmasFireplace

Over on the other side of the room, is the fireplace.

Scandinavian inspired Christmas mantelThe fireplace is really simple, and cozy too.

neutral Scandi Christmas mantelI hung the stockings on a birch pole.  And added some fun stocking tassels for a little more texture.

Scandinavian Christmas decorI was inspired by a little light at Ikea with a hedgehog reading a book under a mushroom.  I created my own version and it couldn’t be cuter.

Rustic Scandinavian Christmas Decor in the Kitchen

Over in the kitchen, things are pretty simple too.  Lots more white and a little bit of vintage added in.

pinecone twinkle lights miniI set up a little hot chocolate station here for cold days.

Christmas hot chocolate station buffetThis is a favourite spot of mine this year.  The beautiful print is an engineering print, the most inexpensive way to make a large poster, and I mounted it on some wood I had cut at the hardware store.

Rustic Scandinavian Christmas Home TourThe Study

I recently re-did my study and now it’s a very seldom empty.

Christmas home officeI made this fun advent calendar for the whole family.  We were at the Lindt store one day, enjoying a free sample. 😉  We noticed how many different varieties there were and that you could buy them individually so we had the brilliant idea of making an advent calendar out of them and trying them all.  Everyday we all try a different one together and it’s been such a yummy treat for us all.

The Bedroom

And lastly let me show our master bedroom.  I love how it looks I used lots of pretty green in here.

Christmas bedroom ideasI worked with Amara to add some special Christmas touches to this room.

Christmas tree in bedroomWe’ve never had a tree in here before and I have to say it’s so beautiful and romantic at night all lit up.

Christmas bedroom decor

I also added in these pretty star lanterns -small and medium sized and the prettiest emerald green tea light holder.

rustic Christmas bedroom decor

Over the bed I added some gorgeous garland.  I love fresh, but in the interests of no pine needles in bed, we went with the is beautiful faux one.  This beautiful faux fur throw is making things extra cozy.

Christmas bedroom decorI’ve added some green cushions for Christmas –one dark corduroy, one velvet moss green square one, and the rectangular jade velvet one in front.

green Christmas decorAnd over on the other side of the bed, the gorgeous vase that set the whole colour scheme filled with some fresh hemlock one of my favourite Christmas greens since it’s so delicate.  The pretty little bottle brush trees are from Ikea and look great in a little cloche.

Over on the far wall a few more candles and sweet tree.
