Spring Home Decor: A forest inspired spring home tour with lots of woodsy and nature inspired details to inspire.

I’m so excited to be sharing my Spring decor ideas with you today, and joining in with 20 other Canadian bloggers for The Canadian Bloggers Spring Home Tour hosted by AKA Design and The DIY Mommy. There will be beautiful Spring Home Tours all week, so be sure to check out all the others at the end of the post.
When I started working on the Spring Home Tour, I realized I’ve never shared one on the blog before, although I decorate for Spring and Easter each year, so I’m extra excited to share it with you today. I’ve taken tons of pictures, so I hope you’ll grab yourself a coffee and enjoy.
Spring Home Decor in the Entrance Way
Let's get started in the entrance way. I've added a few Spring touches to my console table.
You can see how I made the Gold Leaf Easter Eggs here, and I’ve hung them on some pretty pussy willows I found on a walk one day.
I painted a few wooden beads for a pretty pastel Spring look. These wooden beads were a fun recycling project. I found an old wooden bead seat cover at a garage sale and thought up-cycling the beads would be a great inexpensive way to make some pretty garland. You can see how I made the Mason Jar Oil Lamps here.
One of my favourite little touches in my Spring decor this year are the pretty faux mushrooms. I made these ones from some air dry clay, and they turned out so cute. You'll also see lots more throughout the tour.
Bar Cart
At the entrance of the dining room, my little bar cart is all ready for some Spring entertaining.
I picked up this little vintage toy truck ages ago at an antique shop. It was used for Christmas a few years ago, and it hasn’t been out since. I thought the pretty aqua was perfect for spring.
And, I’ve found the secret to beautiful succulents…faux. 😉
Dining Room
On the dining room table, I’ve created a little spring forest.
I began with a beautiful moss runner down the centre of the table.
The moss was picked in the forest, and I let it dry before using it as a runner. I wanted a woodland spring look, so I added some ferns, and birch, butterflies and mushrooms, and a few spring bulbs.
On the buffet, I added some pretty eggs to my wooden bowl.
What could be more spring like than a beautiful bowl of eggs?
I love the mix of the wood, and white and soft pastels -along with more of the moss and few pretty feathers.
It’s amazing how some green and fresh flowers makes everything feel alive again.
Spring Home Deco in the Living Room
From the dining room, we head into the living room next.
I’ve carried the spring forest feel all through the main floor, with little touches.
Spring Mantel
This Spring Mantel is one of my favourite spots this year too.
'
I found a few free printables for the pretty antique specimen art and used some mini wooden clothes pins to attach them to a branch.
I wanted to create the feel of a walk in the forest, and all the treasures I’d found and brought home with me.
More mushrooms here, some that I made out of paper mache last year. And there's also a beautiful antler that I really did find on a forest walk this Spring.
There are a few little wire fairy lights too, so everything can sparkle at night.
Over on the over side of the room, tea and some Spring recipe ideas.
I’m just loving the simplicity of the wooden beads in all different sizes right now.
I’ve added some pretty floral cushions for Spring too.
On the book case I’ve kept things pretty simple and neutral.
I had to bring out my Spring Dioramas -see how I made them here, that are from last year.
Kitchen
Next over in the kitchen, I love the Spring sunshine, now that it’s back.
On the table, a really simple wooden trough -I think it might have been the top tray of an old tool box, and I found it at an antique market. I’ve filled it with more moss, and pretty eggs, including these simple Cement Easter Eggs I made last year.
Over on my little cupboard, I’ve strung more of the wooden beads, for just a tiny bit of Spring colour.
The copper houses have turned into pretty terrariums for Spring.
And this little nest is the perfect Spring detail.
I seem to be completely in love with tiny mushrooms, and these little wooden ones I bought at the Christmas market this year just had to stay out to welcome Spring.
I think because I have a new puppy, I’ve been out walking and exploring the green spaces and forest around my house more than ever this past year. It’s inspired me to bring the outdoors and the sense of wonder and tiny treasures inside. I hope maybe I’ve inspired you a little too -get out for a walk and see what you can find.
With a pretty Spring home decor, life really is a party.

Wow, just so beautiful! I would love to incorporate some of your ideas too. I love the little truck with succulents in it and have several here, but I never would have thought of faux ones to keep it looking so wonderful. Thanks so much for your inspiration and for sharing!
