These Paint Dipped Wooden Spoons really couldn’t be simpler to make, but every time I look at them they make me smile. They’re very easy to make, and definitely worth the little effort.
I asked my husband for some new wooden spoons for Christmas, and then said I’d really like some of those paint dipped ones, but don’t buy expensive ones…could you just make some for me? And then we both laughed out loud. He’s not really the diy-er in the family. So I tucked this project away in my mind, and today I had time to make them. (He did get me some really beautiful, chunky wooden spoons for Christmas though.)
They’re really easy to make, here’s how you do it.
Materials:
- wooden spoons
- painter’s tape
- craft paint
- sealer

Instructions:
1. Begin by taping off your wooden spoon handles where you’d like the paint to stop. I used painter’s tape.
2. Give your spoon handles two coats of paint. I love the white, but any colour would be great. You could even add stripes of different colours if you’re really adventurous.
3. After the paint’s all dry, give your handles a coat of sealer or varathane so the craft paint won’t come off when you wash them. Once it’s dry, remove the painter’s tape and you’re all set. Remember to hand wash.
These new little spoons make me want to bake something yummy.
With new Paint Dipped Wooden Spoons, life really is a party!
