Donut Strawberry Shortcake
Donut Strawberry Shortcake -the easiest, best Strawberry Shortcake ever! You’ll never go back to your old version after trying this one.
This Donut Strawberry Shortcake just might be the greatest, easiest summer recipe EVER. EVER.
It all started when I drove by a little strawberry stand the other day, and realized it was the beginning of strawberry season here. I stopped by to pick some up, and was informed that it was pick-your-own so I headed out to the patch for a few minutes and came back with a yummy basket full…and a few samples in my tummy(quality control).
I saw this great idea here originally, and wanted to try it with some Honey Crullers -I know #geniusmoment
Making these little donut strawberry shortcakes couldn’t be easier.

As I was making these I did wonder if they might be a bit too sweet, so I didn’t add any sugar to the strawberries, and it was the PERFECT mix of sweet, creamy, and tangy.
If you’re a chocolate lover a fun variation would be to try these with chocolate glaze donuts.
I think these would be a great addition to any Canada Day celebrations you’re planning …and as I always say to my American peeps, throw in a few blueberries, and you’ve got 4th of July covered too.
With this easy and so, so yummy Donut Strawberry Shortcake, life really is a party!

These need to happen at my house, like yesterday! They would be killer with Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Yum.
Joy, They are as good as they look! Enjoy.
Oh thanks for the awesome idea!!! Pinning this. Will have to tweak it to my family’s food restrictions as we have some allergies. Will make my own DF, GF donuts along with whipped coconut milk and they are good to go! Happy Canada Day!!!
Sounds like a great idea, enjoy them, and Happy Canada Day to you too.
I love this idea! I would have never thought to use a donut as the base for strawberry shortcake! I will have to give this a try! I think I would love it! Pinning!
Cynthia, I hope you love it, pretty sure you will. 😉
Uhhh.. I will take 100 of these.
Kait, You and me both! And they’re easy enough to make that you probably could make 100 of them, lol.
These look deeeeelicious……1 question I have…what is Honey Dip?…does it come already made..if not what are the ingredients to making it?
Hi Karen, Honey Dip is the name of the donuts I used from the donut shop -maybe just another name for glazed donuts? Any kind of plain, vanilla-ish donut from your local donut shop will work great.
Best of luck,
Looks. Really good. Have. To try. This
Kim, thanks so much. I’m sure you’ll love it. 😉
