Easy Oatmeal Cookies
Easy Oatmeal Cookies: easy recipe for classic oatmeal cookies, add chocolate chips or raisins or keep them plain.
Yesterday I made homemade oatmeal cookies. They were so yummy, and the perfect comfort food for a cool fall evening.

Large Flake Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soada
- 2 cups large flake oats
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cream butter, and brown sugar. Beat in egg, and almond extract.
- Add in flour, baking soda, baking powder, into butter mixture and mix well.
- Spoon by tablespoon full on to cookie sheet, and flatten with a wet fork.
- Bake at 350°F for 6-9 minutes, until just golden brown.

After dinner, my husband and our two little girls went for a walk in the forest behind our house to collect some fall leaves. After the walk we sat on the deck, and admired the forest as we sipped warm tea and ate cookies. The perfect fall evening.

Oh man, those look so yummy! Oatmeal cookies are my fave. I used to make them with my grandma when I was young. I love you pictures too:)
