Apple Cider Martini
Apple Cider Martini: The perfect fall cocktail, a caramel apple in a glass, but better. Use caramel vodka, or make your own.

We have some really big apple cider fans in our house… and we also enjoy a martini. 😉 They just seem to be loving it this fall. Having it around got me to thinking…about a little grown-up apple cider.
I was in the liquor store the other day and saw some caramel vodka, and starting thinking caramel apple. It was only available in a large bottle, so I came home and found a recipe to make it. There are several variations, but the general jest of it is werther’s original caramel candies, and vodka.
Some people add them and shake for days, others add them and then put the sealed mixture through a dishwasher cycle to heat it all just enough to help the candies melt. I decided to chop the cadies in a blender and add and shake.
I used 6 oz. of vodka and nine candies. After only an hour or so, with a few shakes when I thought of it, my caramel vodka was ready.
My husband and I had an enjoyable evening of working on the recipe together, and I think it’s just the thing for a Friday night. 😉
